Spinal Pain & Interventional Procedures
What is treatment for Spinal Pain?
Treatment for spinal pain involves the use of injections by physicians to help relieve pain originating from your back and/or neck. Physiotherapists are now an important link between the physician and the patient by helping to determine the optimal location for the injection and post-injection treatment planning.
How does Spinal Pain Treatment work?
Your physiotherapist will conduct a thorough assessment and gather all relevant medical history. A treatment program will then be developed to address your unique needs. As the treatment plan proceeds and it is evident that you are not responding to conservative physiotherapy care, consultation with your physician regarding a potential injection may occur. We will provide you with support prior to and after your injection to help determine what tissues or spinal segments are contributing to your discomfort in order to guide your treatment plan toward effective pain management and resolution.
If you have already received an injection, we can provide proper physiotherapy care to ensure you are on the correct path toward optimal health.
What are the benefits of Interventional Procedures?
Interventional procedures provide a holistic, collaborative approach involving both you, your physician and your physiotherapist to effectively reduce discomfort caused by back and neck pain.
